EPA Begins Review of Pagel's Pit Superfund Site
Winnebago County, Illinois
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a five-year review of the Pagel's Pit Superfund site on Lindenwood Road in Southern Winnebago County near Killbuck Creek. The Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up - with waste managed on-site - to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. This is the third five-year review of this site.

And don't forget to read what FAA Regulations say on the topic of landfills - and the birds they attract - being too close to an airport. According to the FAA, anything less than a 6 mile radius is considered 'too close'.
